What Did You Come to See?

Imagine someone asking you one simple question as you walk into church: 'Why are you here? Most of us would answer, 'To worship,' 'To learn,' or 'To see friends.' But Jesus asked an even deeper question: 'What did you go out to see?' (Matthew 11). His questions exposed motives before He offered answers. Throughout this series we will let Jesus examine our hearts. We will discover that church is not about performance, comfort, or watching others follow Jesus. It is about becoming the kind of people whose lives reveal that Christ has changed us.
